Thursday in Vegas

Okay so today was a very exciting day in Vegas.  We started the day sleeping in, just a bit.  Then we took our leave from the MGM Grand and headed on the monorail towards circus circus in hunt for the best hot dogs in the world, according to so many people, my niece Evie, and Food Network.  I was told that these hot dogs were so big that they over ran the bun itself.  As we traveled along the way, looking at all the sights around, I kinda started thinking;  my dad liked to come to Vegas.  I started wondering what he would do here in Vegas, besides sit at the slot machines.  Where would he go?  What would he see?  Where would he eat?  We finally reached the end of the monorail and started to descend upon the streets below, looking for the infamous hot dogs located at Circus Circus.

Upon stepping foot on the ground level, we decided to go left.  That was our first mistake.  We walked for what seemed like hours just to get to the end of the street, when we decided, forget this and hailed a Taxi Cab.   He took us to our destination and after trying to decided wither to pay by credit card and pay the $3.00 extra fee or to pay in cash, we stepped off the cab and into the ciaos that is Circus Circus.  Okay so let me state, on a side note, even if you have children.....DON'T STAY AT CIRCUS CIRCUS!!!!   I walked over to a women of Asian decent and asked; "Where do we go to find the hot dogs that are really big" while gesturing with my hands just how big the hot dogs were, never ever actually have seen them before mind you.  Madam Butterfly responded, with her own gestures and pointed to an area outside the actual casino/hotel call "Slots of Fun".  As we walked through we came upon a hot dog stand called NATHAN'S FAMOUS HOT DOGS, which mind you, we have at our own hotel/casino as well.  This couldn't be the wonder dogs that we were looking for.  I couldn't accept that it was over.  I began my hunt again and walked over to a different lady, this time part of LA RAZA, and she said, "Oh yeah, just go down through......."  After I put a simile back on my face I yelled out for my BFFs to follow me.  We finally came to the end of the hotel and all we saw was a small deli type eatery in the corner.  We walked over and I asked the lady behind the counter where we could find the hot dogs that are really big.  She told me with much disappointment to us, "Oh, it was here, but we stopped selling those about two weeks ago"....NNNNNNNOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!  Sadly we walked up the stairway to hell, aka the children's area of Circus Circus, and ate at McDonald.

After escaping from ALCATRAZ...aka Circus Circus, we began our journey through the different hotels and shops.  We finally ended up going through the biggest shopping mall (it seemed) when we saw H & M and decided to stop in.  Now this wasn't any normal store, it was wild.  It actually had a live DJ in the store.  We finally left and as one of the BFFs wanted to take a picture, he realized he didn't have the camera anymore. Back to H & M we go.  As I was waiting for the elevator doors to open so that I could go up to assist with the search, the BFFs walked out with the camera.  Behind followed a gentleman that I just knew who he was.  Before thinking what I was doing, I spoke to him and said: "I know you"  to which he responded, "you do?".  Stupidly I asked if he was from Texas and he remarked; "No, but maybe you know me from Glee?".  I did recognize him.  It was Max Adler, the guy who plays the closeted gay football player.  He was so nice about it all and even took a picture with me.  I actually saw a celeb in Vegas baby!  We finally finished our tour for today and headed home.  It was a wonderful Thursday.  Wonder what we are going to do tonight?
